Chicago native Scendsei combines his eclectic taste, turntablist skills, and smooth blending capabilities with his dynamic personality to consistently provide his listeners an unforgettable experience through his mixes. From house and hip-hop to soul and r&b, Scendsei’s music has graced the speakers of many different venues and festivals across the country. At every event, Scendsei truly tailors his routine to the vibe of the crowd. He is a firm believer in knowing the audience and maintaining the energy. This is how he has managed to become one of Chicago’s favorite DJ’s. And in a city where the fans are harder to please than the media, this is truly an accomplishment. 

In his many years as a DJ, Scendsei has built up an exceptional resume of festival/event bookings and residencies throughout Chicago. He has opened for artists such as Naughty By Nature and The Wu-Tang Clan as well as playing Chicago festivals such as North Coast Music Fest and The SilverRoom Block Party just to name a few. In 2013, Scendsei was invited to join the elite group of DJ instructors at Jam Master Jay's Scratch DJ Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant and within a year was promoted into the full time position as an Instructor. Since then, he has gone on to teach and run various workshops as well as partnering with Beats And Bars to provide music lessons and opportunities to the Chicago youth.  Scendsei has also produced original music for various artists and brands throughout the city.

Despite all he’s accomplished in the last 20 years, Scendsei stays humble and down-to-earth – another reason why he remains a crowd favorite.
